The Department of Radiation Oncology has several training programs. One of the department's educational goals is to provide all residents with exceptional training through a combination of classroom and clinical experiences.

Medical Residency program

The four-year Medical Residency program consists of six training slots. It is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Medical Physics Residency program

The two-year Medical Physics Residency program is one of the few medical physics residency programs in the U.S. accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Educational Programs (CAMPEP).

Radiation Therapy School

University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, administers the Radiation Therapy School which offers both certification and baccalaureate degrees.
